he International Expertise House for ESG, led by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mostafa El Sherbiny, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and a strategic partnership with MyESGPlanet, a U.S.-based company under the global technology group RGBSI — a leader in digital sustainability solutions.
This breakthrough collaboration aims to empower companies in Egypt, the Arab region, and Africa to comply with global environmental standards — particularly with the European Green Deal mechanisms such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) — as well as the broader requirements of international export markets.
Through this partnership, a state-of-the-art SaaS digital platform will be developed and deployed to support carbon footprint measurement, sustainability reporting, supplier assessment, and environmental and social risk management — all aligned with globally recognized frameworks, including:
• GHG Protocol
• IFRS S1 & IFRS S2
• ESRS – European Sustainability Reporting Standards
• GRI Standards
• CBAM Regulations
• ISO Standards
This initiative is designed to support industrial and service-sector companies — small, medium, and large — ensuring uninterrupted access to European markets, reducing carbon-related financial burdens, and accelerating their transition toward a green economy.

Strategic Objectives of the Partnership
The MoU focuses on the following core objectives:
• Digitizing carbon emission management systems for industrial facilities
• Delivering Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) services for export-oriented sectors
• Developing ESG disclosures and sustainability reports aligned with global standards
• Supporting compliance with European and African environmental regulations
• Enabling access to sustainable finance and green investment opportunities
• Building national and regional capabilities competitive at the global level
• Strengthening readiness for carbon credit generation and participation in voluntary carbon markets
The platform will also provide advanced capabilities for supplier data management, supply-chain impact monitoring, and risk evaluation — in alignment with the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).

Wide-Scale Economic Impact
This platform represents a major technological pillar supporting the economic resilience of Egypt, the Arab world, and Africa — particularly as:
• CBAM expands to cover steel, fertilizers, cement, aluminum, electricity, glass, hydrogen, and petrochemicals
• Corporate sustainability and climate reporting obligations tighten globally
• IFRS climate-related financial disclosures become mainstream
With Europe committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, the ability to track, calculate, and reduce carbon footprint has become a critical requirement for export-dependent industries.

Platform Capabilities
MyESGPlanet will provide comprehensive digital tools including:
• Carbon emissions accounting (Scope 1, 2 & 3)
• Product carbon footprint: Cradle-to-Gate / Cradle-to-Grave
• Decarbonization scenario planning and emissions reduction pathways
• ESG reporting aligned with IFRS and ESRS
• Interactive dashboards and analytics
• Supplier evaluation, performance tracking & auditing
• Environmental and social risk management
• Continuous regulatory updates and compliance support
The platform leverages advanced AI technologies, offering cutting-edge solutions for environmental governance and sustainable transformation.

Statement of Ambassador Dr. Mostafa El Sherbiny
“This strategic partnership marks a fundamental leap forward in building national, Arab, and African capabilities in carbon management and sustainability. Today, regulatory compliance is no longer optional — it is a necessity to protect our economies, safeguard exports, and strengthen global competitiveness.
We are delivering world-class solutions tailored to local markets to ensure the uninterrupted flow of Arab and African products into the European Union — without additional carbon-related financial burdens. This digital platform will serve as an economic shield for businesses and a scientific foundation for their journey into the green future.”
Dr. El Sherbiny emphasized that this collaboration reinforces Egypt’s pioneering regional leadership initiated with the hosting of COP27, and continues today to support the implementation of COP30 objectives and to advance the green transition agenda across Africa and the Arab world.
