من ترجمة وتقديم الشاعر رفعت سلام، تصدر قريبا عن الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب، الترجمة العربية الكاملة لـ"أوراق العشب"، الأعمال الشعرية الكاملة لوالت ويتمان، مؤسس "الحداثة" الشعرية في أمريكا، وأحد كبار مؤسسيها في شعريات العالم.
ترجمة لآخر نسخة شاملة كاملة من "أوراق العشب"، التي قام ويتمان بمراجعتها وضبط بنيتها قبيل وفاته مباشرة، وأوصى باعتمادها في أية طبعة تالية.
أنشودة فاتنة للعنفوان الإنساني، الروحي والجسدي، تمجيدا للقوى الإنسانية العادية، وللحياة الأرضية؛ للأحلام والطموحات والأوهام والآلام والانكسارات والانتصاب المتحدي في مواجهة الزمن.

وسبق للشاعر رفعت سـلاّم أن قدم ترجمة "الأعمال الشعرية الكاملة" لكل من شارل بودلير وقسطنطين كفافيس وآرثر رامبو؛ فضلا عن ترجمته لمختارات من أشعار بوشكين وليرمونتوف وماياكوفسكي وريتسوس وغيرهم.
