His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi chaired the fifth meeting of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in his office at the Ministry of Commerce and Investment.
During the meeting, the members of the Board were briefed on the work submitted by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property since the beginning of Dhu Al-Qa'da, through the strategy of the Authority and its regional and international participations, especially as the Authority participated as its first official participation in the 58th General Assembly of Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The Board reviewed the statistics of the Authority's participation, and appreciated the great efforts made by the Saudi Delegation to sign memorandums of understanding with the US Patent and Trademark Office and the South Korean Intellectual Property Office, as well as bilateral meetings with a group of IP offices worldwide. The Board discussed also the plan of international cooperation and communication launched by the Authority within the national transformation program to promote and develop ways of cooperation and exchange of experiences with IP offices at the international level.
For his part, the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and to the members of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property for their continuous follow-up to the work of the Authority and support of its employees and activities.
